Rennsport One Development Centre Announces Remo Ruscitti for 2016 IMSA Continental Sports Car Championship.
As the 2016 Racing season around the corner, RS1 is proud to announce Canadian Remo Ruscitti to drive the no. 18 Superseats.com / Rennsport One Development Centre Porsche Cayman in the Street Tuner division.
Ruscitti joins a team that saw much success in their inaugural season in of professional racing. In 2015 RS1 captured the most class wins of the season with 3 Wins, 5 Podiums Numerous fast race laps and third in Championship points.
Ruscitti, 22, from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada brings a wealth of experience working with the Porsche brand and a vastly growing professional sports car resume to Rennsport One. Former IMSA Continental Rookie of the Year, Race winner in the Continental Sports Car Championship and multiple IMSA Prototype Lites winner continues running with the under the IMSA sanction this time finding a home for the full season after being unsure of commitments from teams in the past few years.
“I can’t express how excited I am to start working with the Rennsport One team driving the Superseats Porsche Cayman,” said Ruscitti. “I was able to experience working with the team filling in at two races throughout the 2015 season that saw great promise and ultimately is what lead to this deal coming together. Both team and car have a proven record of success in the series, and I am glad to have made a good relationship with owner Justin Bellinzoni and his team.”
